The asDunas gourmet experience is based on Mediterranean recipes and the best local ingredients, serving unique tastes of the traditional and contemporary.
Fresh fish comes from fishermen of the bay daily. Fresh vegetables, fruits and herbs are grown in our veg garden. A selection of bread and several baked goods are homemade each day.
asDunas continental breakfast serves freshly baked pastries, á la carte menu eggs and some traditional Italian recipes. In-suite breakfasts and beach breakfasts are also available. Lunch is served at the seaview restaurant and offers a selection of gourmet salads, Mediterranean tapas, gourmet burgers (meat, chicken, fish or veggies burgers), Mexican chicken fajitas, home made Italian pizzas. Dinner daily offers a new tasting menu with a selection of gourmet recipes served up every day: a five-course menu that includes amuse bouche, starter, first course, second course, and dessert. The dinner tasting menu daily proposes options for seafood recipes and meat recipes as well. Gluten-free, lactose-free, vegetarian and vegan options on request

ISLANDS BOAT TRIPS & SNORKELING
Several local operators organize daily trips to the Islands of the Archipelago, where you can safely snorkel or go on a short trek between the white dunes and virgin wild forest.
WHALE WATCHING
Between July and September, the Bazaruto Archipelago area is populated by hundreds of whales coming from the South Pole to procreate and wean their young. During this period, sighting trips with motor boats organized daily, followed by picnics on the islands.
DEEP SEA FISHING
Bazaruto Archipelago became a National Park in 1971 and a strong marine conservation policy warranted a maximum sustainability of its prize catch. The Archipelago is now renowned as Africa’s most productive area for several marlin species and other big fishes.
SCUBA DIVING
Scuba activities are organized for beginners/advanced certified divers by a PADI operator with decades of experience in the area; all dive sites are located within the Bazaruto Archipelago in three different areas (2miles reef, 5miles reef, Cabo Sao Sebastian).
KITESURFING
Vilanculos Bay is a world-famous location for kitesurfing; several international schools offer lessons to beginners and rent the latest full gear for practising.
RIDING
A Zimbabwean international school with decades of experience in Mozambique organizes horseback rides on the Vilanculos beach or inside the bush; it’s suitable for different levels.
CANOEING
A specialized operator organizes canoe trips on the rivers and lagoons of Vilanculos District.

asDunas spa programme offers complimentary, traditional wellness treatments to restore and revitalize body, mind and soul through health and relaxation. Pavilions are completely integrated into the wilderness, immersed into the tropical bushy garden, feeling a true symbiosis with nature. We only use natural alcohol and wax-free coconut oil, sourced directly from local traditional producers. asDunas understands the importance of guest privacy, so feel free to book your body massage directly on your suite veranda. Guests can also enjoy a couple’s spa treatment (depending on availability).
