Accommodation
The resort’s spacious rooms and suites offer a combination of comfort, luxury and tradition together with exceptional views.
Superior Rooms (Size: 78m2)
The superior rooms are located on the ground and first floors and were renovated in 2020. Zanzibari style furnishings add an exotic touch to these modern rooms. They all have their own terrace or balcony with an expansive view of the resort and a partial sea view
Superior Deluxe Rooms (Size: 78m2)
These rooms are located on the second and third floors. They are beautifully appointed with shades of teal and taupe and wall to wall sliding glass doors provide plenty of natural light and open to exceptional views of the gardens, pools, and the ocean beyond.
Ocean Suites (Size: 96m2)
The Ocean Suites on the ground, first and second floors are dramatically appointed with custom made furniture that offers a very modern twist on a Swahili design. Located directly on the ocean front these spacious rooms with their furnished terraces command stunning views of the Zanzibar sunsets.
Bahari Suite (Size: 300m2)
The Bahari Suite on the top level is 300 square meters of luxury, only outdone only by the incredible view. Wrap around glass railings on the open terrace and floor-to-ceiling glass on two walls of the living room make it feel as if you are floating above the sparkling waters of the Indian Ocean.

Dining & Bars
Indulge in delicious cuisine made from locally sourced produce at Royal Zanzibar Beach Resort including chapati made fresh at our buffet. Marvel at the spectacular views of the Indian Ocean when you dine at either of our in-house restaurants.
Spices
The resort’s main buffet restaurant offers a wide selection of international dishes, pasta, pizza, Asian cuisine and freshly cooked fish, seafood and meats. Enjoy open-air seating and experience the Swahili culture every Saturday night when the Spices team dresses in local attire.
Breakfast (07h00 – 10h00), Lunch (12h30 – 14h30) and Dinner (19h00 – 21h30).
Once a week the resort hosts a Zanzibar inspired dinner between the night-lit pools with a BBQ and a live band. The team believes in supporting local producers and enterprises – vegetables are sourced from the hotel garden, spices are sourced from local markets and fish is procured fresh from local fishermen.

If delicious food with a spectacular view is your thing, this a la carte restaurant sits at the edge of the coral cliff that overhangs Nungwi Beach.

The Upepo Pool Bar
